Two ways to brew

Each year Ales for ALS™ gets more interest from brewers around the country – and the world – seeking to join this amazing program! To keep up with that demand, we introduced two ways that you can brew beer to benefit ALS research.

YCH Blend Brewer

Request your desired amount of donated Yakima Chief Hops.
Receive your donated hops and use them to brew a unique Ales for ALS™ beer.
Sell that beer via draft or cans, donating $1 per pint/$2 per four-pack to the Ales for ALS™ program.

Sell that beer via draft or cans and donate a portion of the proceeds to the Ales for ALS™ program.
“Once my uncle was diagnosed with ALS I thought Bale Breaker would be a great avenue to raise money and awareness to help not only him, hopefully, but the generations to come.”
Meghann Quinn, owner of Bale Breaker Brewing Company and co-founder of Ales for ALS™
“(After my mom passed from ALS) I was kind of stuck in that hopelessness, like, ‘what am I going to do?’ when I came across Ales for ALS™. So, this has been my passion project over the last couple of years, to help try and drive more awareness in the Charlotte market. I'm hoping to kind of tie together those two passions, my love of beer and giving back to the community and now this personal connection.”
Razia Gonzalez, brewer at Pilot Brewing Company
However you participate, you will be helping to support critical ALS research at the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) – the words most comprehensive drug discovery lab focused solely on ending ALS.

“We brewers can only do so much, but the role of beer is to promote comfort and mutual aid, to help people connect through dialogue. In a sense, this is one of our activities to make the world a happier place with beer. There are no borders.”
Kohei Mita, brewer at Yoho Brewing in Japan
